Seeing Hallie today at the opening day celebration for the Seven Pools felt like coming full circle. Two years ago Hallie approached the Friends of Thomas Lowry Park board wanting to donate a portion of her Bat Mitzvah to the Save the Seven Pools campaign. Then one year ago, when the MPRB board was voting on the project, Hallie called in to share about the time spent with her grandmother(also a donor) in her “backyard” park. Today we celebrate the joy we have in our local park and the commitment of everyone who sacrificed to see this project become a reality….MPRB staff, contractors, donors, and board members. 100 more years!!!
